If anyone wishes to bring a complaint of abuse against any member of Villanova College staff, past or present, they may do so in any of the following ways:
Contacting the police or other relevant authority in your state.
Contact the School directly on (07) 3394 5690
When children are involved, the College has mandatory reporting provisions to the police or relevant state authority.
Villanova College takes seriously the role it plays in ensuring the safety, welfare and wellbeing of every child in its care.
The College subscribes to the National Principles for a Child Safe Organisation. These principles are based on the Child Safe Standards drawn from the Australian Government’s Royal Commission into the Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
A child safe organisation consciously and systematically:
Creates an environment where children’s safety and wellbeing is the centre of thought, values and actions.
Places emphasis on genuine engagement with and valuing of children.
Creates conditions that reduce the likelihood of harm to children and young people.
Creates conditions that increase the likelihood of identifying harm.
Responds to any concerns, disclosures, allegations of suspicions of harm.
