Please be advised that there are changes to the 8016 and 8017 school bus services to deal with an overcrowding issue on the 8017.
These changes will take effect on the 19th of April 2022 and affect the PM services only.
The 8016 will depart Villanova College 2 minutes earlier at 3.10 pm and travel along Bennetts Road en route to Anglican Church Grammar School, dropping Villanova College students along Bennetts Road up to and including the Bennetts Rd at Bennetts Bushlands, stop 29.
All students who traditionally catch the 8017 and get off at the above mentioned stops will need to now catch the 8016 in the afternoon only (still 8017 in the morning).
The 8017 will depart Villanova College at the usual time of 3.15 pm and travel express to Wynnum Rd, first stop will be Wynnum Rd at Balmoral Park, stop 24.
This change to the 8016 will affect 1 student that sporadically travels to Mowbray Terrace in the afternoon, this student will be able to alight on Oaklands Parade at the junior school stop at Anglican Church Grammar School with a short walk to their usual stop.
This change will move 10 to 15 students off the 8017 to the 8016 for the Bennetts Rd portion of the trip, reducing the overcrowding issue on the 8017.
Please note: These changes will NOT reflect on Translink’s website/journey planner until Term 3, however Translink have approved for us to start the alternate route effective from Term 2.
